Wii to connect with other players?

Hi,
I am new to the Wii and have another question... I thought with the Wii I could connect through it to other players and chat and play games interactively. Am I mistaken? I made a Wii and whenever I try to go the sqaure no one is there. Please help!

Made a Wii? If you mean Mii's, then nope you can't interact and play games with other people online with them.

Mii's are used for Wii Play or Wii Sport's and get one and put it in Mii Square and watch it like a ant trapped in a bottle fun for a while then you just want to kill it and create a new one...
once you have made a mii and added someone to ur console friends list (by adding their wii number and them adding yours) then the mii plaza will fill with mii that they have made.you cant play games and such.oh and btw you need to be conected to the internet to do all this

What I mean by ''chat'' is that you can send brief messages to your contacts, which are sent to you as e-mail to your Wii.

Also, only certain games have online capabilities, and they vary from game to game. Oh, and as someone already stated, your Wii must be wirelessly connected to high-speed Internet in order to take advantage of these options.

Where do I find my Wii number?[/QUOTE] Your Wii Friend Code is on the front of your address book. For your earlier questions, your Mii's can't really interact with other people. You can share Mii's and send them around but you cant interact. Also, more games with online features will come out. There are already several games with online modes where you can play with other people but most games still don't have any online modes. The closest thing that you can do to interact with other Wii's is send mail to friends. When you add a friend code to your address book, you can mail them letters. This is similar to emails but its kind of useless.
