Game of the Year

This has been a pretty good year for the wii we've had alot of big titles we had 2 of theBIG 3 and while i'm not really worried about the ps3, do you think we got any good enough titles to beat out the xbox360 games for game of the year. Our primary competition i believe will be Halo 3. Give your opinions. Also if you feel like stating, now that the wii has releasedmost of its big titles where do you believe the wii is going to go now.Game of the Year
another competitor is definately CoD4, but SMG may become Game of the yearnext years is definatley going to be SSBBGame of the Year
halo 3 will be the biggest competition. its basically the nintendo wii vs. the xbox 360 because ps3 hasnt had that big of game
The two main competitors for Game of The Year are Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy. Personally I'm going with Mario Galaxy. I think Nintendo has improved much from last generation and they are going in the right way. They will start next year with Brawl and they have already announced many games for 2008 that may surprise us Wii fans and gamers in general. If everything continues like this, the Wii will rule this videogames generation.
I definately think SMG eill be the game of the year it has all the makingsP.S.i know your new and all but you don't have to be so proper with righting topics no one is going to grade you on this so unless you talk like that you should just relax...
i dont own the 360 but my friend does and we always play halo3, but when i get my friens over and we play vanguard they really like it after they get used to the controls. so saying that i think smg will deffinatley be games of the year.

Halo 3 isnt going to win GOTY. The biggest competition for SMG is Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Maybe CoD4.

Yeah i see what yall are saying but i think maybe even though GS gave it a BS review. Metroid Prime 3 may come out of no where and steal the showand i forgot about those other big xbox360 titles but i still think Halo 3 is the xbox360s main contender it just has to much of a fan base behind it and the numbers it supposedly sold in the first week were ridiculous

Out of all the wii games, definately SMG, but I'm not sure if it can compete with the other titles out there like Halo 3, COD4, and Crysis. Also, whose todetermine the game of the year anyway?
Is The Orange Box eligable? If so then I think that that's SMG's biggest competition. Halo 3 also is really big, but BioShock might take it (not on GameSpot though, that review was surprisingly low). Mass Effect is also similar to BioShock where those two games are huge competition everywhere but GS.
Halo 3 wont win game of the year... bioshock, mass effect, mario galaxy, cod 4, and rock band all have a better shot at getting GOTY
