Wii Concern. Please Respond. Prefferebly ...

My Wii beeps and then clicks when reading and loading a game. I's louder when playing gamecube games and quieter whwn playing Wii games. I can hear it from aside but it's not that crazy. When I press my ear against the disk slot and the volume is turned off I can hear the sounds louder. The clicking noise sounds kinda clanky and skipping and it sounds like it's munching on my game disks although there is no disk read error, no scratches on disks, and no problems during game play. It seems to me like it's normal but I'm not sure. I guess my questions are, does your Wii make the same noise and is it normal. I didn't notice my friend's Wii to make those noises, but then again I never really paid that much attention. Is it normal? Is my precious Wii okay? Thanks in advance. When I play the gamecube game Spider-man 2 on my Wii and start swinging around, I hera the clicking noise. Sometimes it's pretty loud and sometimes it's not as loud. It's a beeping, skipping, clicking, sort of grinding chunk noise. Are you sure it's normal?
Is this normal. How noticible and how loud is it on your Wii? Please help me. (Sorry to post a thread

I called Nintendo 3 times already. Nobody can help me. None of the people I talked to even owned a Wii. They shpuld so they can help people. They didn't even have a clue as to how it's supposed to sound. I keep getting the same response: ''Leave it. If it gets extremely louder and you can notice it over game play send it in.'' It's not extremely loud, but noticible. It seems to me like this: ''We'll only help if your Wii totally blows up. Thay are not even sure if it may be a problem or not. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Is it normal? ( I even put the phone to the Wii and let the guy hear it and he still had no clue)Wii Concern. Please Respond. Prefferebly ...
If you're close to Wii, take Melee and put it in. Go to title screen where it says Press Start and press start. Then when you get to next screen press B. Keep doing that while pressing your ear againdt the Wii's disk slot. Tell me if you hear the sound and how loud is it. Then do the same thing but step away from Wii a little further and tell me how loud it is. Can you do that small favor for me?

It's louder when playing Gamecube games than Wii games. I'm hoping it's normal since the Wii is working harder or something or the 2 size disk slot sound weird with a small disk. Try it with a game cube game and then a Wii game and tell me if it's louder than the other. If you can't do it now, just try it later and PM me fast. Thanks in advance.
Well,I didn't read all of your message but are you sure nobody touched it wile you were away?
You probaly have a defective unit.Try calling NIntendo agiain to see what you can do.My Wii has been working since day one.
Are GC games louder than Wii games? I've gotten one person telling me that since it's a minidisk compatible slot, it is normal, but I'm not sure? My friend's seems to be quieter, but then again I can't be sure cuz I didn't pay so much attention.
Can you put in Spider Man 2 and start swinging around while keeping your ear close to the Wii's disk slot or pressing it against the disk slot if possible. If my Wii's normal, youshould hear beeps followed by loud skipping shifting clicks. If you move away a little, see if you can still hear it. Make sure volume on TV and surrounding sounds are turned of and everything's quiet. Can you do me that favor, please?
It works fine (knocks on wood) but the noise is a little weird. I dunno how it should sound so I'm checking.
Please read everything carefully and respond.
Could a change of the manufacturers of the disc drive make the Wii sound different cuz I talked to a Nintendo guy and he said that there has been a change in the manufacturers.
Does it make a noise without a disc in it?I have noticed some noises (not all of the time but every now and then) while playing Metroid Prime 3, but that is about it.
It doesn't make noises without a disk. I dunno. It may be normal. That's what I would like to find out. It's a switching click. Please help.
Do you own Spider man 2 or Melee for gamecube?
Stop making ten billion posts. It takes time for people to consider even to answer you. wiierror.com go there. Have you even updated the firmware?
I own no Gamecube games, sorry.
I haven't updated yet. My Wii's brand new. That's why I'm trying to find out.
The website doesn't help. Nothing on how it should soubd. Help.
If you don't have any vc purchases or points put into the machine and don't care about your wiis call Nintendo explain you think something is wrong and you want to do the replacement deal.Sigh and it doesn't matter if you got a brand new wii attempt to update the firmware you may be surprised that there are updates for it. Others have reported clicking noises going away when they updated the firmware.
