For young children??

So I want to pick out a few games for my 5 year old girl for Christmas. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.For young children??

It's hard for me to recommend games, since I don't know about your daughter's interests, but if I was 5 years old, I know that I would be one happy kid if I got Mario Galaxy. It might be a bit harder later in the game, but training should do the trick. Also, try to check out the recommendation thread.
Resident Evil 4 everyone loves resident evil 4, anyway she's got to learn about violence sometime. Now on a series note Star Wars complete is kid friendly and will keep her busy for countless hours also Mario Galaxy if you dont think it might a bit hard for her. Oh and maybe Bee Movie the game I mean it got a 6.5 from gamespot so it must be alright and since shes 5 it's flaws wont bother her so keep it in mind as well.
buy some VC games like super mari bros. and yoshi's story
5 year old girl....um....i heard theres a hannah montana game. You could get her SMG but she would probably lose interest after not being able to pass the tutorial

For a 5 year old not sure which system but these are my recomendations for the wii: Carnival games, wario ware smooth moves which has lots of little mini games. For the ds Harvest Moon, nintendogs, pokemon, and animal crossing which is probley the one I would say is the best if you don''t already have that. Also you can go check out the reviews page and that might help.
get barnyard, i think it's good for children. Oh, and wiisport, have u seen that 4 year old kid play boxing? cute isnt she? and she surely enjoy her wii boxing.
