Wiiconnect24 is an option in the wii system menu. wiierror.com specifies you need to do another mode on the router. Try g or b mode. does your wii shop and wiiconnect24 work ...
Well, I have a friend that has exactly the same problem. So you say it is a problem in the router?
The shop since it transfers credit card info has a different security routine then the rest of the wii online services. Different router modes have different security protocols. Go through wiierror.com and you will see mentions of people resolving the op problem by changing the router mode.
One thing you can do is change the channel on your router. I had a lot of problems getting the wii store to work (some of the other online stuff worked OK like weather and everybody votes), then I changed the channel on my router and now have no problems.
